Great game but short |
This game is fun but the main story seems to short.
I got it in '06, started playing it but didn't get past the youth phase b/c I got really bored. I came back to it years later & got to the adult stage & was surprised that the fun factor was much better. So don't give up on the game if you're only in the youth stage.
This game is like a twisted Zelda. You can pick to be good or evil or in between. You can build your character into whatever you want him to be (i.e. small & quick like an elf, gruff like a dwarf, huge barbarian guy, Merlin wizard guy, Sauron evil guy, etc). The fight system is almost as good as you can get although I do think they could've made the camera angles better. Sometimes the camera is frustrating.
The weapons are really cool too.
I recommend this game & would've recommeneded even if it was still in the $40 range. |

Great action RPG |
|
Fable's best feature if a merger of RPG, action, and ol tomfoolery. Being a hero but also being able to mess with townsfolk is a entertaining experience. |

Fable the Lost Chapters for the XBOX |
|
I have wanted to play this game ever since it first came out, but I did not have an XBox. Once I finally got my XBox 360 Elite I finally order this game. I love it so far the only problems I have is that it freezes my system sometime, (usually in the middle of a quest)and the graphics are a bit rough. But that's to be expected from an older game. Over all I really enjoy this game especially since you can choose to be either really good or really bad. |

Great game |
I just played Fable for the first time this holiday season & thought it was excellent. The story line I picked was great (I picked a good guy one). The graphics are excellent. The only complaints I'd make are that there should be better dialogue between characters and there's something wrong with the fighting system. The fighting system is totally sufficient but its missing something... I always have the feeling that it could've been so much better if they worked on the fighting system better.
Also, I don't rememeber the bad guys name but, the first fight with the bad guy/king is kind of annoying. They made him so much better than your character that I always feel that I only beat him by blind luck (i've replayed the fight a few times) rather than your players skill. I don't like fights like that.
The marriage idea was pretty weird too. Leave that for games like Sims, not games like this. If this game was real life, the bad guys would probably just go after the wife & kids in order to hurt the main character. I don't think they do that in this game (I didn't get married) but still, why include marriage in a game like this?
I still rate this 5 stars though. I don't have xbox360 & never will b/c of its reliability issues but I hope they fixed the fighting system for the fans. Again, I'm not saying its bad, but it feels like it could be so much better. |
